How do I activate and set up my tag?

My sign-in link expired. What now?
Go to tagsquad.co.uk/auth/login, enter the email address you gave us, and we'll send a fresh link.
Where should I put the tag?
Pets: on the collar. Bags, keys and school kit: somewhere prominent and visible on the outside, such as a zip pull or handle. See the setup guide.
Does a TagSquad tag replace my dog's name and address tag?
It can. Under the Control of Dogs Order 1992, a dog in a public place must wear a collar with the owner's name and address on it or on an attached tag. We never show your address online, so keep it on the physical tag: tell us your name and address and we'll engrave them on the back of your TagSquad tag, free, before it reaches you. One tag then satisfies the Order on its own.
What can you engrave?
Your name and address, in up to 4 lines of 24 characters each, letters, numbers and basic punctuation only. It's done once, before the tag changes hands: at a stall if you're there, or from the details you post with a remote order.
Can I return an engraved tag?
Engraved tags are made to order and can't be returned or exchanged. We confirm this with you before engraving.
Can finders see my phone number or email?
No, never. Finders send messages through us and we pass them on to you. They only see what you choose to show, like a pet's name or a photo.
Does the finder need an app?
No. Any phone that can tap an NFC tag or scan a QR code opens the tag page in its web browser.
Is it a GPS tracker?
No. The tag has no battery. You find out where it is when someone scans it: we show the approximate area, and the finder can choose to share their exact location.
How many text alerts do I get?
Up to 5 a month, so we can keep the price a one-off. After that, alerts continue by email.
Should I put my child's name on a tag?
We recommend not. Children's names are hidden by default and a label like "Blue school bag" is usually enough.
What if TagSquad closes down?
See our promise: you'll get 90 days' notice, your data, and a way to keep your tags working.
How do I delete my data?
From your dashboard you can download all your data or delete your account. Deletion is permanent after a 7-day grace period.
